morning of the wedding

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of  (before)  wedding photos from yesterday!!  All are taken in the morning at  the Brides home.  As it was early, the light was a bit too bright but here are some of the better ones.

Maybe i might have some more tomorrow if there are any decent enough!!   A great day was had by all and I think the bride was happy! It was a lot of hard work on her part but it all came together beautifully!

I am so tired now tho!  Unfortunately I cant join everyone at brunch; I have to go to work!  Nevermind!

happy saturday to you!!!

I La la love these Laboutins!!!!

And really loving the pink, yellow, aqua combination, bright, happy and puts a smile on my face! I am probably more of a lemon, softer yellow fan - usually....  But it does look great with white,  pinks, blues.

I have a very busy weekend ahead unfortunatley... I would have liked to be able to relax and enjoy the heat (another weekend in the high 30s, and 40 tomorrow) but its my brothers 30th bday tonight and we are helping out with the party preparations.  Tomorrow I have dress fitting then hair appointment. I have an online assessment to do and some assignments then I am out to dinner tomorrow night with friends.... I am a bit worried as to how i will fit everything in; especially the assignment stuff! and the test I have to study for... eeek!!!  Wedding is less than a week away now, so the nerves are kicking in for the bride as you can imagine!!! So much to do, so little time!!!!!

pretty things, and L'AVENUE ; my new shop.

Hi everyone,

this is just a short post... a short, bright, pretty selection of cuffs and bracelets that I am adoring... (personally, i think it might have something to do with the pinks and aquas!    I really like these ribboned bracelets in gold.. I think i might try making some,  or something similar; i dont think that they could be too difficult...

friday favourites

Happy friday everyone!!

wow, I am glad its friday, and its a long weekend here in Perth! (my boys are happy about that, i can tell you!)

Managed to get organised this week enough to take some photos - found my camera! It was exactly where is should have been! not sure how I missed that!!

This week, my favourite things are;         my new cushions (well, only 2 pictured here)

totally new designs, a different direction for me!  I am excited about it, have a new logo and new fabrics on the way...

I have really missed sewing!!!

these particular designs will come in lots of different bright colours..

My other favourite thing is the chalkboard in the background that I have been waiting for my hubby to hang.  Its an old vintage type painting (which was yuck but I have painted over it as I adored the frame and the size was just what I had been looking for!)  I am having it hung in my dining room, I have seen a few in dining rooms and love the idea!

I must say that a lot of my resolutions for the year are being achieved.. I am making progress with my new cushions styles and designs.   Have lost several kilos (way more to go though!!) Have been much better at note taking and organisation!  Oh, and I have begun my studies and so far so good!!   I am so  pleased that all of my effort is paying off.

pink and gold

Hi everyone,

still having a massive crush on pinks and gold.... sometimes soft, delicate pinks, sometimes bright, hot pinks, i just cant get enought right now.  although, I am always in love with pink,

uuum, okay, not much pink in that one, but i liked it!  

I have some touches around the house but cant find my camera!!! dont you hate that?  In fact, we have two and have no idea where they are!

3 weeks to go!!!!

Hi everyone,

 just a short little post today as I am busy, busy, busy!! keeping up with my studies and a little bit of work thrown in! as well as being a mum and.... a bridesmaid!

I cant believe there is only three weeks to go till the big day, the bride is getting very excited! 

The dresses are coming along fabulously! a very pale pistachio satin.. I wil post some pics of the dress when its picked up from the dress maker.  I really love the style.  I think afterwards though, i might have it dyed red i think.  It will definently be my thing in red!!

I think  these cupcakes are just sooo adorable! found them on Vintage Rose Garden tumblr, one of my favourites!

I might even try to make some myself!!

I am sewing the bunting for the day which is made with vintage doilies and embroideries, it is 22 metres long! Will take some pics of that too when I finish it!

Meanwhile, best run as I have lots to do today!!

Friday Favourites

Hello lovely friends!

I am struggling to stay awake, its been a busy day all in all, but  I really didnt want to miss a friday faves post again!!  Sure I can manage a quick one before I dash off to bed!!!

Here are a couple of  my favourite  rooms of the week, pink pink pink!!!

Had this pic in my files for a few weeks, just adoring those pretty birds!! where can i find them? have     never  seen any around this part of the country!!!  Not in the same finish and colourings that is!

Kate Spades collection with Florence Broadhurst Signature Prints!!! I am enjoying the bold patterns and colours, vibrant and energizing!  Here are my favourites of the collection!!

                                   A whole collection of these cases in varying sizes would be very chic indeed!

And a tres beau pair of wedgey sandals!!!

Another of my favourite things this week is the Sabre cutlery collection; beautiful French cutlery available in many, many colourways, but of course the pink in my favourite.  I found them at
Magnolia Interiors online  but there is an official Sabre Paris website  which has their whole collection.

Definently on the wish list!!!! arent they adorable, love that they are so different and unique, but once again, in a household full of boys, it could present some issues, I may have to purchase some other colours too; perhaps the solid white....::

Okay, have to put Seb to bed now, its very late for him!

sparkle!!

Hi everyone,
late for me to be awake, almost ten pm actually - I am more of a morning person, late nights are not for me!

I was adding a little bling to some little candle holders today.. wrapped them in pretty raw silk ( i really do have a thing for raw silk) and with a hot glue gun, attached some little die cuts I found in my crafty stash... I do soooo love the rose/gold glitter!

I got the cut-outs from a perfume gift box, Jean Paul Gaultier Classic, one of my absolute faves...

My pics are a bit fuzzy, sorry about that!

Have a very busy weekend planned!  My friends birthday brunch in the morning, then meeting my heartkids friends for lunch at a winery in the swan valley!  I have a 40th party on Saturday night which I am really looking forward to!!

..... and our first bridesmaid dress fitting, cant wait to see them on!! Followed by afternoon tea in the city!!!  Lets hope its not too hot; it has certainly cooled down this past week, but I still expect a few more 40 degree days this summer!!

I do hope to find time for my friday favourites tomorrow, but cant promise.... I missed last friday too, one day i will have to start drafting my posts in advance!!!! one day.....!

Talking of bloggy things, I have been having trouble for over a month updating my blog roll; does anyone have any clues or tips on  how to sort that out?
